Capabilities
One site. Every distance. Every document.
AEMS takes an explosives storage site from a drawing to checked, explained and documented quantity-distance (QD) results - drafts for a qualified officer to check and sign. Every screen below is the real app on synthetic Depot Golf.
DEMO · NOT FOR OPERATIONAL USE01 · Plan
The site, to scale.
The problem: Site plans live in drawings, PDFs and spreadsheets that know nothing of the distance tables.
- A local metric grid with storages, buildings, roads, power lines, fences and barricades
- Doors, orientation and earth cover for earth-covered magazines
- A scanned plan calibrated underneath, to draw over
✓ Available in the current demo

02 · Assess
Every pair, against AASTP-1.
The problem: Checking each storage against every neighbour by hand is slow, and one missed pair is enough.
- Closest-point distances for every pair on the site
- Hazard divisions 1.1 to 1.6, mixing and aggregation under AASTP-1 Ed D.
- Reduced QD where the standard allows it, and the crater check for HD 1.1 content
- Each result with an icon and words, never colour alone
✓ Available in the current demo

03 · Explain
Every result shows why.
The problem: A number without its reasoning cannot be checked or signed off.
- "Picture: why this distance?" for any pair
- The effect that governs, the table column and the exposed-site type
- Every distance is labelled with the standard it comes from.
✓ Available in the current demo

04 · Contents
What is in each storage.
The problem: Quantities and compatibility groups change; the assessment has to follow.
- An Excel inventory template made for the site, and its loading
- Net explosive quantity (NEQ) and maximum credible event (MCE) worked out from the items
- AASTP-1 Table 5 compatibility, with a record where a risk is accepted
- How much each storage may hold, and what limits it
✓ Available in the current demo

05 · Change
What should I change?
The problem: Knowing a storage falls short is half the work; finding a fix that does not break another pair is the rest.
- Moves between the storages you already have, in whole items
- Each move checked on the whole site, with a preview
- Where no move works, AEMS says so: a risk acceptance is required
- A new open stack placed only when you ask
✓ Available in the current demo

06 · Safeguarding
See who the lines protect.
The problem: Neighbours, planners and inspectors need to see where the limits fall on the ground.
- Inhabited-building and vulnerable-building lines for the current and the allowed quantities
- Whole site or one storage at a time
- A printable map to scale
✓ Available in the current demo

07 · Documents
From screen to safety file.
The problem: The assessment has to end on paper the officer can check and sign.
- Excel export and QD calculation sheets in the AASTP-1.1 Annex A layout
- A licence proposal, the safeguarding map and the emergency plan
- Door cards with fire division symbols, inspection forms and an inspection plan
- Every print marked as a draft; the QD sheets carry the program version and the rule-data fingerprint
✓ Available in the current demo

08 · Field depot
Deployed ammunition areas.
The problem: Field depots follow their own distances and are set up and changed quickly.
- AASTP-5 field distances, from a checked rule-data file of their own
- A separate field page for the compact ammunition area of a deployed mission
